BIKERS CLUB JULY 2019 ISSUE | Page 39

It shattered me, but I did not give up.. Its not about winning or losing, its about passion & commitment.. I STILL REMEMBER THAT DAY, December 31, 2015. I was practicing for "Liwa" Racing event supposed to happen on the next day in Abudhabi. I was unaware of the fact that my handle grip was loose, on the first table top (biggest jump in Motocross) bike was around 12 to 15 meter above ground level in air. I had the handle grip in my hand coming out of the handle, lost the control and bike crashed, got broken into 2 pieces. My right hand wrist got broken badly. Right Hand Wrist shattered, doctors thought even to the extend of amputation. I requested them to just keep it together, don't mind even if its not working. Dr. Chidanand came for my rescue, he assured me that I will be able to hold the pen using right hand in 6 months. It was a shock for me. After recovering from the surgical process, I just made up my mind to try my best in all possible ways to recover, Ayurveda, Allopathic and Physiotherapy... I tried them all and finally in six months I started riding bikes again. In another 3 months I started competing in Dubai International Motocross again. Initial stages were full of pain, but suffered all of that to come back to this sport. In another two months I lost my younger brother "Jith" in a car accident. He was like a pillar of support for me. After a disastrous year of 2016, I came back to the sport in 2017, claiming 2nd and 3rd position in Indian National Supercross Championship and Dubai International Motocross Championship respectively.
