Listen to your inner voice ! MY POINT OF VIEW BY RAHUL MEHTA FOUNDER | CEO | EDITOR OF BIKERS CLUB & MAGAZINE Many of a times we hear our inner voice, which tells us what to do or not to do. What's that voice and where it comes from? 95% of our brains works in a unconscious state, and only 5% is at cognitive consciousness, what does that mean? It means we are taking in information through all our senses all the time and processing it at an incredible speed. So that intuition, hunch, inkling, sense or voice, is coming from masses of information we can't even cognitively or consciously process. Then there's cognition. "The mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thoughts, experiences, and the senses." This is the logical, thinking part of your mind. Weighing pros and cons; coming to rational conclusions based on data or other factors. These are the voices of reason which often try to override your instincts. We always say or hear about 'Gut' feeling.. Believe me our gut feeling is always right but due to our logical mind and the loud schedules.. we tend to ignore it but I am sure when that event happens and you realize your gut was right then you feel you should have listen to your gut. Our body is built up with atoms and cells, and is been controlled with nervous system and the core of the nervous system is our stomach i.e 'gut' (a center of our body). Each and every cell has a feeling and a memory which is a data, and the process of transferring that data is continuously happening through our nervous system by unconscious mind which is always happening in the background, and our cognitive consciousness has no control over it. So the hunch we hear as our inner voice is nothing but a strong feeling which is been derived by our unconscious mind through the transmission of data, but most of the times we choose to override that feeling with our logical mind, which has no wisdom of it, believing that.. "it cannot happen that way." For e.g. Lets suppose you are going for work and suddenly you get this feeling of something is not right or something bad is going to happen, but you choose not to believe on it and you continue your journey. And very next moment or after sometime that bad feeling comes in to the reality and realizing that your gut was right but you chose to override it. How this happened? Have you ever thought about it? How could your inner voice knows the event which wasn't happened yet? The answer is "DATA" & it's "TRANSMISSION." I believe entire universe is built on a fabric of knowledge which is divided in to atoms which we call "Higgs Bosons," and further in to "strings" which is vibrating at a different frequencies than other atom's "strings." Every atom consists the knowledge of entire universe which is inter-linked with other atoms. And our body is no different from it. Let me tell you in a simple way - suppose the universe is an "ocean" and every living being is an "ice berg", so is ocean and ice berg different.. The answer is "NO," they both are same it's just their forms are different. Like this example we all are atoms and every atoms consists the knowledge of oneness and it's constantly storing new experiences and memories. But the twist here is that our logical mind does not have a wisdom to understand it. So when we get hunch, inkling, intuition, is a strong core feeling which comes from the transformation of data and memory from one atom to another, which is always right, but due to lack of wisdom of our logical or cognitive consciousness we often fail to recognize or acknowledge that feeling which comes from within in the form of "inner voice" So how to listen to our inner voice? - The best and simple solution is "Meditation", but there is also an another way..."AHA" theory.. A - Aware: Be aware of what you are feeling. Pay attention and notice. H - Halt: This is the pause button. Think about the ways you can respond to what you're hearing or noticing. You could listen to your inner voice, ask more questions and seek to hear it further. Or, you could choose to ignore it completely and let your cognitive mind take over and convince you it's okay. A - Act: Now that you have options, decide which action you want to take. Always talk to yourself and invite your inner wisdom to show up - If you want someone to come to your house, you've got to invite them over, right? Try taking this approach with your inner voice. While it's always running in the background, it may have taken a backseat because it can't seem to get through all the noise. It's going to speak up more often when it knows you're open and listening. Take a moment now and invite your inner wisdom to show up. Let it know you are ready and willing to listen... Wait and see what happens next.. I am not saying that this will change your life, but it will definitely help you to take right decisions.
