THE INTERVIEW Anam Hashim BY BIKERS CLUB BC: Who's Anam Hashim? How different you are in real life than a virtual life (social media)? Tell us about real you and your hobbies apart from riding..! AH: I am just a girl who loves riding motorcycling from my Instagram account, but I am more than that. I love cooking, music, fitness & sports has been my passion before even motorcycling came in the picture. I am a person who loves spending time alone in my zone working. I love creating content & clicking pictures not for commercial purposes but for myself, which I don't share online. BC: Tell us about Life in Nawab city Lucknow and life in Pune now as a rider? And why you chose Pune to settle in? AH: Lucknow is known for its food, culture & history. Growing up, there has been beautiful until I figured out that Lucknow has time to grow in terms of motorcycling. I moved to Pune to get exposure in motorcycling as I have researched online through social media platforms about stunt riding scene there. I love Pune, and the weather is so amazing. The riding scene in Pune is more advanced than any other city. It is also known as a hub of the motorcyclist. BC: How did you start riding? And how long have you been riding? AH: I have always been inclined towards motorcycling from a young age. My father was the first to figure out my love for motorcycling at the age of 5. He taught me how to ride a motorcycle. But I officially got my own bike when I moved to Pune with some savings and some money I earned by riding & doing stunt shows with the Pune local team in 2013. But I am riding motorcycles since the age of 15 independently. BC: Why, stunts? What made you think of following your riding passion as a professional stunt rider? And is it true that you are the first professional female stunt rider in India? AH: Stunts because I was not much attracted to racing back then or any other form of motorcycling. Plus, I could ride bikes already, and I somehow was very confident in pulling bike stunts. Even though it took me a while to learn stunts, it didn't come easy to me. I figured I am very good with the things which are lead by my heart, so stunt riding felt like an inner calling. Like I believed in me no matter what. I am not the first woman in the country who started stunt riding, there have been a few in the past, but I have been the youngest to get into stunt riding & the only one who has survived and taken the sport
