My Journey
My Beliefs
Corporate
World knows me as a MD, Polaris
India, Indian Motorcycle India, but my journey was
never easy, and I am glad about that because
throughout my journey I have learned a lot from
numerous ups and downs, many of my decisions
were bulls-eye, but some have missed the targets.
But that's life, and you can't be right and successful
all the time. Nobody can, but it is crucial that you
make goals and work on it within the stipulated
time. Right or Wrong doesn't matter, but you
should practice to make short and long term goals,
be it your life, family, and or career.
I realized this at my very young age and always
tried living with this mindset.
I was born in the middle-class family in Varanasi in
1967. My father was a government official; he was
honest and principled. Many of my learnings came

From him. I still remember him saying, "Pankaj,
be honest in whatever you do, and never bring
wrong money home because that money will
never prosper you; it will take away a lot from
you, and your children will suffer." I have
imbibed these lines of his in my mind and
always lived on that principle.
I was brought up in a religious family in a holy
city, but in my childhood, I have traveled a lot
because of my father's transferable job and got
the opportunity to study in various schools of
repute in different cities.
I was a versatile student and have received
many accolades in sports and singing. Sports
helped me to bring out a leader within me and
helped me to realize the importance of
teamwork and the fundamental lesson it
taught me how to fight till the end.
