THE INTERVIEW
Bharadwaj
Dayala
BY BIKERS CLUB
BC: How did you start riding?
And how long have you been
riding?
BD: It started as a hobby and
grew up to become my
passion. Started riding at
very young age and ridden
may be 5-6 lakhs kilometers
till now.
BC: How many bikes you
own? Which is your favourite
bike? And why?
BD: I own a 2006 model Hero
Honda Karizma and a 1969
model Royal Enfield Bullet. I
love Karizma obviously as it
took me around the world.
BC: Any particular bike you
DISLIKE?
BD: Nope, all bikes are good.
BC: What made you want to
ride a bike? Any inspiration?
BD: It's the affordability and
then the kind of freedom it
gives to go wherever you
want. It definitely feels more
open and free when you ride
than when you drive a car.
BC: Tell us about your first
ride?
BD: I don't remember as it
would have been some 35
years since I first rode a
motorcycle. But whatever it
may be, it must have been a
great ride.
BC: What type of rider you think
you are? Aggressive or
Conservative?
BD: None of them, I am a safe
yet fast rider. I ride at around 90
km/h the moment I hit the
highways, but always been a
safe and defensive rider. So I
never ever had met with even a
small accident and never ever
had a scratch on my body.
BC: What special arrangements
you do when you go for a ride?
BD: Nothing much, just pack a
few clothes and just enough
cash and off I go.
BC: Any new ride are you
planning?
BD: Another World Tour. The
world tour is too big for one
ride.
BC: Tell us about your world
ride, when did you start it? What
gave you motivation to go for
that ride? How many countries
yo had travelled? How many
days and how many kilometers?
BD: I always wanted to explore
the distant places and various
countries and their cultures. So
finally one day I decided that I
should live my dream and
started planning and preparing.
After two years of struggle with
all the paperwork and
permissions and planning, I
started my ride on 2nd April
2006 from Visakhapatnam.
