BC: We came to know that you met with
the road accident in India, tell us about
that?
VI: It happened on the 23rd of June at
43°C heats, close to Bhilwara. I was tired
and dehydrated; I got lost because of the
wrong route from Udaipur to Jaipur. The
reason behind the accident was the
significant level of difference between the
sidewalk and the new road of the
highway.
I rode on the spare line, hoping the small
wall I saw in the face of new pavement
would be equal upfront with the old road,
but it was not. So, I and my bike just hit
the pavement from beside, and the last
thing I remember was that we are falling.
As a result, I broke my right wrist, and my
jaw had three fractures due to the hit of
my head on the handlebar. The fantastic
story of the rescue operation of me and
my bike, organized by the Indian
motorcycle community, you can find in
detail in the Road Story page.

BC: What was your family's reaction
when you decided about riding cross-
country? Do they support?
VI: I almost always got unconditional
support from my family about my
motorcycle adventures. But when I
shared my World Tour concept, my
parents were against because they were
worried about the long time I had to be
out of home and away from my younger
daughter. Eventually, in the end, they
also started to support me,
understanding why this journey was so
important to me. But my husband and my
kids always supported and helped me in
all my crazy adventures.
BC: How do you manage your family with
riding? Especially when you are in
another country for months?
VI: It was my biggest concern when I
planned my World Tour that how will I
survive for a long without my beloved
husband and kids? We talked every day,
sometimes a couple of times in a day,
thanks to the internet and the video calls.
There were some days when I felt lonely
and missed my family the most, and I
wanted to go back and hug them, kiss
them and make my baby calm when she
used to cry during video calls. The most
extended separation was for three
months. During my journey, I flew back
home for Christmas from India in the
middle of December. I can't explain the
feeling when you are meeting your
beloveds after months.
My husband is caring, and he sent me a
special gift when I felt down in my days
in Malaysia in the absence of Boris (my
bike) because of the shipping. I received
lovely red roses, a teddy bear, and a love
letter in one morning from my husband;
that was cute.
BC: Solo riding or group riding? What do
you prefer?
VI: I love to ride solo, and that is my
preference. But I enjoy riding with other
bikers from time to time, maybe not for
the long distance.
