GROWING UP & EDUCATION
I was an excellent student, looked like a typical "good
kid," having some talent in writing. And I got few
awards in the competitions; when I was in 10th
grade, I even won first place in the National
Competition in Literature. Thanks to one of my
friends from the neighborhood. I learned about a
new high school in my city, where my friend studied,
and I decided to study there for my next level of
education. I was thrilled to get admission in that high
school, because of the atmosphere and the way of
teaching was closer to the University than the
ordinary high schools. I studied there ancient
Bulgarian and Latin and also History of Art,
Philosophy, and History of the World. I was lucky to
join one informal discussion club. Where I was the
youngest member, and we spent house after classes
arguing and disputing about art, history, and
philosophy of life with my friends.
The next step was the University. I got a Master's
Degree in Psychology at Sofia University. It was
during the first years after the collapse of
communism around the world, and it was a hard
time for all ex-communist countries, including
Bulgaria. I participated in the biggest students
protest during the winter of 1996/1997 when the last
communist government resigned under the push of
people. Some of my best friends and smartest
people I know, I met during those protests. My
informal education continued during my career in
Human Resources and Training all my life; after I
studied in CIPD (Certified Institute in People
Development) of the UK and covered two years of
the course. I got numerous training in finance,
management, marketing, and many more.
