BIKERS CLUB APRIL 2019 ISSUE | Page 48

Soon it started drizzling but I wasn't enjoying now, there were no vehicles visible to me far and wide, I did not imagine the route must be this bad, but now there was no looking back so I tapped my Shaurya and said keep going brother and be careful from nails on the road, because I don't think so we would get any puncture wala here soon. I was very worried that what would happen if my tyre was punctured. I could see that the clouds were going deeper as if it was going to rain, now I was started worrying about my ride, I had thought that I would reach Araku Vally before evening, but so far I had passed only 100 kms from Bhadra Chalam and it was already 2:00 pm. The Ghat's road was not allowing me to speed up my bike beyond 20 to 30 km/h, and then I was able to realize that the wind started to sink at very fast speed with lots of dust and clay, I started worrying, not for me but for Shaurya. I knew RE classic 350 can ride off roads but I wasn't experience, off road requires skills. In the midst of dusty winds, suddenly shaurya rammed inside the pit and my balance shook, but I didn't stop there and continued riding, as the time passing I could see the changes in weather, it was getting darker and darker, soon I realized that I made a mistake by taking this route but now I had no choice left but to continue riding, I must have passed may be another 75 kms only and I saw my map was showing re-routing due to lack of network.. Soon I came across to a village during the ghat section and still there was no network, I came to two way junction, I took right with my gut feeling and thinking this might be a short- cut to Araku Valley, I must have ride around another 30 kms and road came to an end and it was around 4:30 pm in the evening, I stopped there and examine my bike, everything seemed alright but started wandering about the way ahead. Luckily I found some farmers there and asked them about the highway.. They pointed me towards left and told me you will reach highway in 10 kms from here, with no option left I went in that direction. As I was riding, I was feeling cool breeze hitting on me and realized within 3 to 4 kms I am in the midst of dense forest, I was so frightened and I started praying in the hope that I should not get killed by any animals.. this was the worst feeling ever. It wasn't enough and I started feeling my bike is shaking.. as if someone is pulling my bike from behind, I was too frightened at that time, and the faces of my family especially my wife came in front of me as if I was about to die, and I prayed out loud, luckily I heard the honking sound of some vehicle coming from ahead as the ray of hope, soon I realized that I am approaching highway. I sighed with so much of relief, and thanked God for bringing me on the highway. I wanted to stop but I did not dare. But finally I was on the highway and I could see some vehicles on the road.
