no ocurrirá de la noche a la mañana. México no se
queda atrás en cuanto a transporte aéreo urbano se
refiere. Las necesidades de una gran urbe con exce-
so de tráfico, como lo es la capital metropolitana,
actualmente cuentan con respuestas como Voom,
una aplicación con experiencias de viaje cómodas y
fluidas mediante el uso de helicópteros. La flotilla
de Voom consta de seis vehículos y hace apenas tres
meses tuvo lugar su primer viaje en territorio mexi-
cano. A finales del año pasado, más de mil personas
habían ocupado ya sus servicios, signo innegable de
la alta demanda por satisfacer.

Currently, Voom trips don´t contemplate
touristic destinations but it doesn’t rule
out providing pleasure trips in the future.

plans to initiate operations by 2020 instead of original
date of 2023. Introducing a new and uncommon service
is not the only challenge. It requires getting people to
put their unconditional trust on these unmanned vehi-
cles, something that will take time to occur. Mexico is
not far behind in urban air transport either. The Mexican
capital has a traffic problem that requires solutions like
Voom, an application that offers comfortable and fluid
helicopter travel experiences. Voom´s fleet consists of
six aircrafts and performed its first trip in Mexican ter-
ritory just three months ago and by the end of last year
more than a thousand people had used their services,
proof of the growing demand.
