Welcome to the summer issue of BIG BOOK of Jobs . In the Twin Cities market , people are going back to work to help fill the demand for workers in all aspects of business .
Our business community still needs workers .
In Minnesota , and as a community , the marketplace and work environment has changed dramatically . COVID-19 has turned our lives upside down . Businesses were forced to figure out how to keep their operations running day to day with very little customers , thus less workers . Many workers were laid off , jobs were eliminated or people left their jobs to stay home with children as daycare and in-person learning was no longer an option . Business is rebounding nicely as we have progressed through our COVID-19 challenge yet businesses are desperately still looking for employees . Today , we are dealing with increasing inflation with dramatically higher expenses so workers are getting back in the workforce . These workers have had time to figure out what they really want to do with their life and the pandemic has put things in perspective for many .
