Beat the boredom!

S’MORE BANANA SPLIT
Cut through the peel of a banana
lengthways, on the inside curve.
Leave the banana in the skin. Press
mini marshmallows (or cut up big
ones) and chocolate chips into
the opening. Wrap in foil crimping
the top closed and cook on your
barbeque grill until melty and
delicious (about 7 minutes). Or
preheat your oven to 200 o C and
bake your foil wrapped banana for
6-7 minutes.
FRUIT ART
Try your hand at some fruit art. Find
a pattern online and task your little
ones to try and recreate it using
pieces of fruit (pre-cut by you of
course). Or tell them to get crafty
and see what comes out of their
inquisitive minds! Try using seasonal
fruit like apples, bananas, kiwifruit
and pears.
DECORATE YOUR OWN
A fun and easy way to get the kids
involved with cooking is to give them
a base and let them decorate or top
it off themselves. You could make
a pizza base and let them finish it
with all of their favourite toppings,
or make some scrummy doughnuts
and get them to ice and decorate –
they’ll be kids in a socially distanced
candy store!
In this inspiration guide you’ll find a recipe for homemade pizza and doughnuts
