Westward Ho! Youth Theatre Group is putting on a fantastic show!

Westward Ho! Youth Theatre Group is putting on a fantastic show - Annie Jr. at Kingsley Hall, Westward Ho! on the 4th, 5th and 6th July. They have been rehearsing tirelessly since January and this spectacular production showcases the talents of this vibrant youth group.

For those who don’t know the story, it’s about an orphan child called Annie who lives in a New York orphanage run by the slovenly Miss Hannigan who is more than fond of the odd tipple or two! Annie is a feisty child who firmly believes that her parents are alive and will return to the orphanage and rescue her from the drudgery and the heartless Miss Hannigan. Annie is lucky enough to be fostered and is eventually adopted by a very rich businessman, Mr Warbucks.

“The kids are working so hard and are really enjoying rehearsing for this show,” said Producer Rebecca Edwards. “The whole team of staff are so proud of all their efforts….they’re singing and acting their hearts out and we’re really honoured to be a part of this bitter-sweet, fun and uplifting story.” The show is directed by Ian Howes, choreographed by Lynne Malone and Susan Northrop is the Musical Director.

Westward Ho! Youth Theatre Group is made up of talented and enthusiastic kids between the ages of eight and 18 and is run entirely by volunteers. There is a long waiting list of kids wishing to join the group, which is testament to its reputation and the desire for kids to be part of this amazing youth club.
