Maybe you’ re planning a vacation to the Black Hills, want to make Custer your home base and are looking for an affordable place to camp. Whether you answered yes to one, two or all of the above, Tommy and Krystal Hegerfeld have you covered at Nomad VanCamp and RV, A Walk in the Woods and The Custer Wolf- Food and Drink.
THE CUSTER WOLF
Sharing a building with a Walk in the Woods is The Custer Wolf- Food and Drink, a restaurant that carries a unique variety of elevated pub food.
“ We make super unique foods with familiar ingredients. Everything is made from scratch,” Krystal said.“ It’ s fresh and delicious all the time. Our cooks put a great deal of pride into what they do.“
The friendly staff is more than happy to help recommend one of the more popular dishes on the menu, whether that be the famous BCJ Burger or the fish and chips.
“ We have fun, knowledgeable employees who not only know about our menu and local beers, but about the local area and cool things to do while you visit our beautiful Black Hills,” Krystal said.
Warm and welcoming, The Custer Wolf has a“ super chill” vibe, with comfy tables games, books and plenty of craft beer to try. They also have a pet-friendly patio seating to enjoy on those beautiful summer days.
The menu is versatile, and changes every few months. Because of that, anyone who comes to the restaurant will no doubt find something new to try.
The restaurant will have extended hours this summer, open Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a. m. to 8 p. m. and closed on Sunday.
