WELCOME

Now that you have decided to include the Black Hills in your vacation, you are sure to have a great adventure!
Stretching 110 miles long and 70 miles wide across northeastern Wyoming and western South Dakota, the Black Hills is home to Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument, Black Elk Peak( the highest mountain peak between the Rocky Mountains and the Alps), Custer State Park( the United States’ second largest state park), Bear Butte State Park and Devils Tower National Monument.
The Black Hills also hosts the Sturgis Motorcyle Rally each August.
Nestled in between this impressive array of national tourist attractions you will find unsurpassed scenery, myriad family attractions and an abundance of wildlife and recreational opportunities.
Within those acres of pinetopped mountain peaks can also be found 4,000yearold etchings hidden deep within sandstone canyons, rippling streams that still carry gold dust, crystalline mountain lakes, hiking and biking trails, air fresh with the scent of sunshine on pine trees and nights so full of twinkling stars that you will wonder where they’ ve been all your life!
In the midst of these breathtaking surroundings, it is little wonder that the area is rich with the arts. Perhaps it’ s not hard to be creative when you’ re in awe of the natural masterpieces on all sides.
South Dakota’ s motto is“ Under God, the people rule.” During the 2020 pandemic, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem never locked the state down, allowing the state’ s citizens to decide what was best for them, their families, businesses and churches.
In South Dakota, you can roam free in its wide open spaces and there is nowhere in the state better to do that than in the Black Hills region. It is rich in history, scenic beauty, wildlife and friendly folk. Welcome to the Black Hills!
