Safeguarding

Safeguarding is the action taken to promote the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and protect them from harm. The British Horseracing Authority ensures there are processes and procedures in place to confidentially report any abusive or discriminatory behaviour.
As a result, it expects all individuals and organisations in the industry to play a role in supporting this philosophy. Our training providers have a sound support system backed by several key organisations. These organisations enable the support to extend beyond their early career and provide broader support for all staff in the industry.

Racing Welfare

Racing Welfare is a registered charity supporting the workforce of British horse racing. It offers professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and support staff whose dedication is vital for the wellbeing of racing. Its work aims to help people, all the way from recruitment to retirement, to thrive in their working life.
