Results
Results from the web-based survey indicated that the staff found the website to be useful and 100% of subjects believed that this site would help them to communicate with and engage parents. Subjects stated that the website was user-friendly, well organized, and would be a great resource for parents, struggling students, and could even be valuable for students who have been absent. Two subjects also submitted requests for two additional multiplication strategy videos to be uploaded. These two video requests were added before the sight was shared with parents and students. While these results were useful for the initial roll out of the website, I would like to further my research in the future and survey parents and students for input on what they would like to see on the website.
Future Impact
With this resource there to assist the parents, the students will be able to get help with homework and studying in math using strategies they are learning in class rather than struggling to learn the way their parents learned to do math. A resource website allows parents to have easy access to the information they need, when they need it. Many parents work and have busy evenings to creating a website is a convenient way to give them access to materials and information that they can access whenever their schedule allows. My goal for this website is to expand on it as the years progress and continue to update it with requests from staff, parents, and students.
