About the Graduate Authors
Emily Upton has been teaching 4th grade for five years. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Morehead State University in 2010 with her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education P-5. Since then, she has won several awards, including PTA Teacher of the Year in 2018 and the NEA Distinguished Teacher Award in 2019. Emily enjoys helping teachers integrate technology into their classrooms through her role as technology liaison, as well as teaching undergraduate courses as a Graduate Assistant at BGSU. She was excited to graduate in May with her Master’s in Classroom Technology, and plans to continue to support teachers and students as technology is integrated in the classroom. She hopes to instruct at the college level to train pre-service educators as well.
About the Graduate Authors
Paige Kitchenmaster graduated from Defiance College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Childhood: Math and English/Language Arts. She then received her middle childhood science and social studies endorsements through BGSU. She currently teaches 5th grade ELA and social studies. She received her Master’s Degree in Classroom Technology in May 2019.
Jessie Minard graduated from Bowling Green University in 2013 with a bachelor’sdegree as an intervention specialist and earned a transition to work endorsement in2015. She is currently an intervention specialist at Northview High School in Sylvania, Ohio. She is finishing her sixth year of teaching. She also enjoys coaching basketball and running Project Unify.
Taylor Siloy is a kindergarten teacher at R.C Waters Elementary School. She has been teaching for 5 years and received her bachelor degree from The University of Toledo. Taylor completed her Master’s degree in Classroom Technology in May 2019.
Korie Jacobs graduated from BGSU with a Master's in Classroom Technology in May 2019. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 2013 in the area of mild to moderate Special Education. Korie currently teaches 8th grade at Mad River Local schools in Dayton, OH as an inclusive Intervention Specialist in the areas of reading, math, and study skills. This past fall Korie and her husband welcomed their son Bennett, so any free time she finds, she spends it with her family.
