Epic is an unlimited digital library that has a great "Read To Me" feature for learners of all ages. As a teacher I can assign specific books to students that include a pre-constructed set of comprehension questions. When a student has an account, books and videos are chosen by the child's specific interests and reading level. Check out one of my student's favorite books, "I Need My Monster"!

In the elementary buildings, students come with a large range of technology skills. In my first grade classroom, all desktop computers have hands taped on top of the mouse to model how to place their hand properly and where to click. Some students will need a mouse in order to be successful.

ReadWorks is aligned with state standards and provides teachers with pre-made units and lessons. Students can even use ReadWorks digital to complete assignments and read articles selected by their teacher. ReadWorks and ReadWorks Digital might be the push students need to succeed.
