KHAN ACADEMY
KHAN ACADEMY is an online academic program in which teachers can use to help support student learning in their classrooms. Khan Academy offers programs in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies as well as in many specialty areas like art history, computer science, and economics.
Khan Academy features instructional videos, practice problems, and Mastery Challenge Exercises to introduce students to new concepts, help students close their skill gaps and/or to help them expand their skill set.
Khan Academy was founded by Sal Khan in 2004. Sal was working in the business industry when he decided to tutor his cousin in Math. He created online tutorials and videos to help his cousin with Math.
Fourteen years later, Khan Academy is used by educators in school districts across theUnited States as well as in international countries.
