Parent Contact with Remind
By Katie Gilreath
Reminders can be sent for homework assignments, paperwork reminders, special events such as pictures and more. Users are able to attach files, schedule announcements in advance, receive read receipts, and start group conversations.
You can use Remind to send individual or group messages. I have a group for each of my grade levels along with a group for Student Council members, as I’m their advisor. You can also send a reminder to everyone on your list for occasions such as picture day or school closings.

I’ve been using the Remind app to communicate with parents for two years now, and I wish I had discovered it sooner. Remind is an easy way for me to communicate quickly with the parents of my students without having to give out my personal cell phone number. Best of all, it’s free!
