Wordle: Students can create a word cloud using adjectives about themselves or a character they are reading about.
Podcasts: Students can create a podcast about a book and give their opinions.
VoiceTreads: The students can show a project they have made and get feedback from their peers.
Storybird: The students can create a story using the elements of a great story. (character, setting, problem, solution)
Kidblog: The teacher can use Kidblog to ask questions about skills or books the students are learning about. The students can respond or comment back to their teacher, as well as, other students.
Students in Mr. Colosi's First Grade Class, show off their podcasting skills on the school's Macbook laptops. Their assignment was to create a podcast about a book read in first grade. As you can see, the results were fantastic and the students in class were excited to be taking part in this activity!
