2015 Heritage Award Dinner Wrap Up
Over $2 Million Raised for our Kids
You did it! Nearly 1,100 Boys and Girls Country supporters attended the 2015
Heritage Award Dinner, raising just over $2 million dollars for the care of our
children! We were pleased to honor John and Lisa Walker for their work in
the community and belief in the Boys and Girls Country mission. John Walker,
Chief Executive Officer of EnerVest, Ltd., is a leader in the energy industry and
in the Houston community. He and his wife Lisa have modeled a legacy of philanthropic involvement to their children, each of whom is active in numerous
causes based in Houston and its surrounding areas.
The annual Heritage Award Dinner not only allows Boys and Girls Country to
honor those who are champions of our children and our mission, but it also
raises crucial funds for the day-to-day operation of our home. More than
100 children find a home at BGC, and your support ensures that they are fed,
clothed, educated, and brought up in a loving, Christian environment with
Teaching Parents that love them as if they were their own.
We thank all of the volunteers and donors that made this night possible.
Without you, Boys and Girls Country would just be a good idea!
