BFS Soccer GVS 2011 Season Review | страница 2

AT A YOUNG AGE WINNING IS NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...THE IMPORTANT THING IS TO DEVELOP CREATIVE AND SKILLED PLAYERS WITH GOOD CONFIDENCE. ARSENE WENGER INTELLECT, ENERGY, AND HEART. The high school soccer season asks much of a student athlete. Not only must they attend practices and games after-school, they juggle their academic and social lives at the same time. Ive called it ‘Chaos Theory’. Some how, our soccer players find a way to do it all sports, school, life - while staying calm and collected. The Girls’ Varsity Soccer team compacted twenty practices, fourteen games and several team meetings into nine weeks. This kind of schedule does little to promote healthy, well-rested teenagers. Playing three games in five days is beyond ridiculous (not even the professionals handle this schedule well). However, this group of players never once complained, bandaged up their bumps and bruises, and represented the school with ‘Blue Pride’. 2. BFS Athletics
