MONEY
Most teenagers dont' have a large income that supports
them but some unfortunately do have to support themselves or their families in certain cases. However, it is a common assumption that it costs more money to eat healthy than it does to eat unhealthy. But is that really the case? Does spending that extra money not
make up for the never ending doctor and hospital bills as a result of an unhealthy lifestyle? Its important to figure out what your financial situation is, or speak to your parents about how you can help out or help
them to organize their finances with foods in order to make the healthy food choices that you wish to.
'But I'm A Vegetarian'. Many teenagers choose to become a vegetarian or vegan due to personal choices which is very honorable, however, they must ensure that they are getting the nutrients that they require given that they are limiting the amount of foods in which they can get specific nutrients from. This also applies to those with allergies to certain foods.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Foods are constantly being advertised on television, and its not just commercials for apples and organges. They are ads for fast foods that we should limit but are constantly being encouraged to go out and limit. The media tells us teenage girls that we need to be stick thin in order to be pretty, but then tell us that we should go out and buy a hamburger from McDonalds or a bag of Lays chips. These mixed messages are confusing and send out the wrong messages to teens all over the world.
