SAVE THE DATE! Empty Bowls 2017
Saturday, January 28th, 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Cambier Park in downtown Naples lasting change through the arts, education and projects that build community. The local event was started by Donna Torrance, a pottery teacher at Barron Collier High School.
In the past 10 years, Empty Bowls Naples has raised approximately $ 340,000, which equals 1.2 million meals distributed through the Harry Chapin Food Bank’ s network of partner agencies.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank, an affiliate of Feeding America, is the leading hungerrelief organization in Southwest Florida. The food bank solicits, collects and stores food for distribution to families and others in need through a network of more than 150 nonprofit agencies in Charlotte, Collier, Lee, Glades and Hendry counties, providing food to about 28,000 people a week.
In fiscal year 2015-16, The Harry Chapin Food Bank distributed 20.4 million pounds of food and other grocery items, including 6.4 million pounds of fresh produce. The food, valued at $ 34 million, is the equivalent of 17 million meals for people in need.

COLLIER HARVEST
Collier Harvest Foundation is dedicated to providing healthy and nutritious food to our hungry neighbors across Collier County. It is committed to being a reliable and trustworthy source of food provisions for more than 40 partner agencies supporting thousands of families in our community. collierharvest. org
MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals On Wheels serves the infirm and homebound by providing one meal a day to those in need. From Monday through Friday, recipients receive hot meals; frozen meals are provided for weekends. Nearly 200 volunteer drivers make this program possible by providing their own cars and gasoline. In an average month, drivers cover almost 4,500 miles, delivering more than 6,000 meals. mowaa. org
