Between the Lines
Crafters Corner
Supplies:
Fish Bowl or similar container
Rocks
Activated Carbon or Charcoal (can be found @ the
pet store in the aquarium department) to help absorb
excess moisture & keep the terrarium fresh
Succulent Plants (a succulent is a plant with thick fleshy
leaves. Plants like Aloe Vera or Jade)
Soil specifically designed for succulents
(using the proper soil will help to absorb
excess moisture and keep your plants
healthy)
Step 1:
Pick your Rocks. No
need to go to the
store, the back yard
likely has all you’ll
need! Give them a
quick wash and
they’re ready to go!
Step 2:
Add a layer of
the activated
charcoal or
carbon over
the rocks
Step 4:
Step 3:
Add a thin layer of soil
Add your plants! It is best to break up
the root balls a little prior to placing
them in the terrarium. It’s a little tricky
to position them with a tiny opening,
but after you get them all in, just slowly pour in some dirt loosely around the
plants. Using a small scoop or spoon
helps.
Find a sunny spot & enjoy!

Step 5:
Use a small brush to
remove any dirt that
may have settled on
the leaves, then water until the soil is
wet.
