M
.J. Domet loves to write; but even more than that, she has a passion for helping other
aspiring authors follow their dreams. A former pre-school teacher, M.J. combines her
love of teaching and writing by presenting workshops on writing and on selfdevelopment. Her first book, “Waves of Blue Light: Heal The Heart and Free the
Soul” became an Amazon bestseller within a few months of its release in 2011. Subsequently, the book
has received multiple awards, including a gold medal for Living Now Book of the Year in 2012 as well
as The Beverly Hills Book Awards and came in as a finalist in The USA Best Book Awards in 2013.
Based on her often turbulent life, “Waves of Blue Light”, has been described as a book which helps people heal now as well as helping generations to heal in the future.
M.J. presently resides near Beaverlodge, Alberta and is working on her second book titled, “Voiceless
Whispers: Tuning Into Nature’s Messages” which is set to be published and released this summer.
M.J. Writes of her book:
“I wrote this book,” stated Domet, “to help people who are feeling victimized
by their experiences, gain insight and perspective. With my work in spiritual
counselling, I see people suffering emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually; feeling they have no control in their lives. This book is semiautobiographical as it touches on my own experiences with abuse, growing up
in an addictive family, relationships issues and the like, and how changing my
perspective of these experiences allowed me to regain my power and live purposefully. My inspiration for the book comes from my family, students, clients
and the absolute belief that we create our lives by the choices we make. I want
the readers to understand they are beautiful spirits who do not have to apologize for who they are, and if they desire change in their lives, wherever they
are now is the perfect place to begin.”
