Staff News
Welcome to Steve Tjeltveit! We are thrilled to announce
that long-time Minneapolis campus member, Steve Tjeltveit,
will be joining our staff as the Director of Administration. First
and foremost Steve brings a deep faith and an abiding love of
Bethlehem and its mission. He has a rich set of experiences that
will help this congregation to continue to move forward at this
critical. We couldn’t be more pleased to have Steve joining our
team. He will begin his work on September 10.
Steve Tjeltveit has served as the Director of Finance and Human Resources
for the past 15 years at a large Twin Cities pediatric clinic. For twenty four
years prior he served as the nursing home administrator at multiple nursing
and senior communities mostly in the Twin Cities area. He grew up in Red
Lodge, MT and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead MN. He has
been married to Heidi Simpson Tjeltveit for over 31 years and they have two
daughters Greta and Kirra. He has been active in Habitat for Humanity and
other community organizations. He enjoys kayaking, skiing, biking, camping,
gardening and traveling the US and the world.
Welcome back, Chris Haugen!
We're excited to welcome Christine Haugen (pronounced Hogan)
back to the Bethlehem Staff as Worship Ministry Coordinator.
This is a newly created position designed to streamline the
variety of responsibilities associated with worship events at
both campuses including weddings, funerals and baptisms.
Some of you will remember Chris when she was on staff as
Stewardship Ministry Assistant. Chris writes: "I'm excited for the opportunity
to build deeper relationships with people by working with them as they go
through critical life events and grateful to work again with such a dynamic and
compassionate group of people, both on staff and within the congregation."
Worship Leadership Teams
9:30 am (MTKA) & 7:00 pm (MPLS)
Teams work together to provide ushers, greeters, communion servers, lectors,
and more. This once-a-month commitment is a good way to meet other people
and try different roles. You'll experience worship anew by participating in the
service together as part of a team. To learn more, or if interested, contact Pastor
Meta, [email protected].
