Sunday Morning Adult
Bible Study (MPLS)
Do you know that a group of adults
gather every Sunday at 9:15 am in
Langemo Lounge for conversation
about the Biblical reading used in
worship that morning?
There is always a place for new people
in the room. Consider this an open
invitation, no previous training or
expertise required! Here’s an idea for
a family morning at Bethlehem: kids
and parent(s) worship together at 8:00
or 10:30; at 9:15 kids attend Sunday
School, parent(s) come to Langemo.
On the way home, everyone in the
family can share what they learned or
question about the morning. Join us!
A request of the BLC community: Many of our participants have been invited to
attend by a Bethlehem congregant. We ask you to extend a personal invitation,
and/or post the program information on your neighborhood Nextdoor site
(www.nextdoor.com). Thank you!
CareerWalk Navigator
CareerWalk will offer 4 sessions of the popular CW Navigator service this
Spring. One-on-one assistance is offered to those in job transition on a drop-
in basis, providing access to resources, advice, and support that “meets people
where they are” on a variety of job search topics.
6:30-7:45pm.
Worship Prep Team (MPLS)
by Sonja Somdahl
Are you looking for a way to get involved at Bethlehem that is not a huge
time commitment? The Worship Prep team allows you to get to know a small
group and the pastors a little better and is an important part of supporting
worship services. I have loved my involvement with this team—we prepare
communion, take care of the altar paraments and keep the candles burning!
When I first joined the group, I was pleased to be trained in by shadowing
other team members until I felt comfortable performing the duties on my own.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I typically volunteer for a couple Sunday
services a month (you can attend the service) and one Saturday morning prep,
which usually takes an hour. The behind-the-scenes aspect really appeals to
me, I suppose because I’m a bit introverted. And it’s interesting. (Did you
know that the two big candles on the altar are only lit for communion? Or that
the silver pitcher used for baptisms is called a ewer?) Please consider joining
our team—you can try it for a while and decide whether it suits you. Contact
Wendy Osman, [email protected], or Joanne Ortendahl-Lucas,
[email protected], for more information.

'There is Only Us'
Video with John Noltner, photographer
and founder of A Peace of My Mind
After traveling 40,000 miles and
asking hundreds of people what peace
means to them, John Noltner lifts up
four powerful stories in a film that's
meant to generate a conversation
about empathy, civility, and inclusion.
(You might remember John's exhibit that
Bethlehem previously hosted featuring
portraits, bios, and statements from a
wide variety of people.)
There are several opportunities in
Minneapolis to view this inspiring and
thought-provoking 20-minute film,
followed by small group discussion.
Register online for one of them, bring
a friend!
