But on one day, when I had nothing particularly interesting to do, I decided to find out how they were created.” WALKTHROUGH W hen you are in trouble or when you are simply desperate, have you ever wished that someone could tell you exactly what to do and suddenly everything turns out to be perfect? I have. My dear readers, please spare several minutes for my ramblings. Giving form to my words on a piece of paper (or a computer screen in this case), has never been a difficult task for me. The same applies for articulating my thoughts for an audience to hear. In fact, if you ask my mother, she would tell you that I can be loud enough for even the Gods to hear. Yet, I hesitated before writing this article, so much so, that the editors of this magazine might have to think twice before 66 BEST SPEAKER MAGAZINE 2017 publishing this, because the submission was made way past the deadline that even a “Hail Mary” can’t help me at this point. But write, I did. Since my childhood, I have been a fan of these computer games that the geeks call a RPG, which is an acronym for Role Playing Game. I loved these games, because first and foremost, you get to pick your own avatar (or character) and decide on his or her strengths and weaknesses. Secondly, depending on the choices that the player makes in game-time, the creators of the game had designed multiple storylines. So, if you don’t like the ending you get the first time around, you can simply play again and choose a path that would give you a different ending. Thirdly, there is the handy ‘Save’ point, in which you can record your progress so far and if you end up in a tight spot, you can restore the game from the save point and continue forward.
