At first, we were overwhelmed by the smell
of fresh cakes and were impressed by the
romantic, elegant environment with the
vintage touches and the French air. The
dreamy –innovative in the city– concept of
Sugar Angel, even though it is not located at
any of the known piazzas, has managed to
become a point of reference! The high-ceiling
area, strictly no smoking, with the hidden top
corner, reminds a bit of a fairytale – the theme
windows contribute to that as they change
every month together with the packages and
the biscuits! Behind this success story is its
creator Aggeliki Meimari and her partners,
because as she says the team effort is the most
important thing of all! Aggeliki is the living
proof that if something is done with love, respect, knowledge and work, success is a oneway street. The final unique recipes is a result
of seeking and research by herself, while everything is handmade from top raw materials,
as we would have made them at home, with
pure ,100% Greek ingredients, inspiration
and constant development, which end up to
the unparallel sweets of Sugar Angel. While
“peeking” at the workshop we saw cakes,
cookies, macaron, muffins, marzipans, being
prepared,... while on a daily basis we can find
13 types of celebration cakes and 12 cakes,
according of course to the season. Even if you
come here just to enjoy one of the exceptional
beverages (wonderful teas, aromatic illy coffee, chocolates), it is impossible to resist the look
and the smell of these sweets... “Red Velvet” is
extremely popular as well as the “New York”
cheesecake, the Oreo cake and cheesecake,
the noisette cake and the coconut – and these
are just some of the very delicious choices!
Highlight: At Sugar Angel they can prepare
any fondant cake you have ever imagined,
transforming your idea into a little work of
art...! They also take orders for events, parties,
christenings, weddings.
