Στην κορυφή δεσπόζει ένα επιβλητικό
Ενετικό κάστρο και κάτω απλώνεται το
μπλε αυτό χαλί, με τα απίθανα, κρυστάλ-
λινα νερά. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Αναζητήστε
τα δρομολόγια µε καραβάκια που αναχω-
ρούν από το Καστέλι Κισσάµου.
Όνομα και εικόνα συμπίπτουν αρμονικά
χάρη στα τέλεια χρυσαφένια χαρα-
κτηριστικά της. Δεν την... ταράζουν οι
βορειοδυτικοί άνεμοι, βρίσκεται πολύ
κοντά στα Χανιά και αποτελεί αγαπημένη
οικογενειών. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Απέχει
ελάχιστα µέτρα από το κέντρο της πό-
λης, άρα θα βρεθείς είτε µε τα πόδια είτε
µε το λεωφορείο.

νωμένη παραλία με τα πεντακάθαρα, ρηχά
νερά. Μετά το μπάνιο, βρείτε τραπέζι σε
ένα από τα ταβερνάκια που βρίσκονται
περιμετρικά ενώ διαθέτει και επιλογές για
διαμονή. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Οδικώς με ΙΧ
ή λεωφορείο (Τ. +30 28210 93052) και
µε κατεύθυνση προς το αεροδρόµιο, σύ-
ντοµα θα φτάσεις στον Καλαθά.
Kalathas
Located in Akrotiri Peninsula, 14 km norteast
of Chania, it is the ideal choice for families,
thanks to the sandy and organised beach with
the crystal clear shallow waters. After the swim,
get a table in one of the taverns located around
the beach, while there are also accommodation
options. How to reach there: By car or bus (tel.
+30 28210 93052) and heading to the airport,
you will soon arrive in Kalathas.
Πρόκειται για δυο ακρογιαλιές, που τις
συναντάμε μόλις 16 χλμ. από τα Χα-
νιά όπου γυρίστηκαν σκηνές από την
περίφημη ταινία «Αλέξης Ζορμπάς» με
τον Άντονι Κουίν. Η κεντρική παραλία,
διαθέτει άμμο, είναι ρηχή και απάνεμη
και πιο απομονωμένη 800 µ. από την
προηγούµενη. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Ακο-
λουθείς τον δρόµο προς Ακρωτήρι και
συνεχίζεις µετά τον Καλαθά.

This places features two beaches, just 16 km
from Chania, where scenes from the famous
movie “Alexis Zorbas”, starring Anthony
Quinn, were shot. The central beach is sandy,
shallow and protected from the winds, and
the more isolated one, is 800 meters away
from the first one. To reach here, follow the
road to Akrotiri and continue after Kalathas.
