Γεωργιούπολη
Σεϊτάν Λιµάνια
Γνωστή και ως παραλία του Στεφάνου,
βρίσκεται σε απόσταση 22 χλµ. βορειοανα-
τολικά των Χανίων και 2 χλµ. ανατολικά του
χωριού Χωρδάκι, ανατολικά από το Ακρω-
τήρι. Παραλία σαν καρτ ποστάλ, λωρίδες θά-
λασσας εισχωρούν στους κάθετους άγριους
βράχους δηµιουργώντας κολπίσκους. Ένας
από τους κολπίσκους σχηματίζει και την Σαϊ-
τάν, με τιρκουάζ νερά και τοπίο απαράμιλλης
ομορφιάς. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Οδικώς περί-
που 15΄ από τα Χανιά προς το αεροδρόµιο
και κατόπιν θα ακολουθήσεις το δύσβατο
µονοπάτι µε τα πόδια (περίπου 10΄).

Georgioupolis
Also known as Stefanos beach, it is located at
a distance of 22 km in the northeast of Chania
and 2 km in the east of Chordaki village, in the
east of Akrotiri. The beach looks like a postcard,
with stretches of water penetrate the vertical
steep rocks creating coves. One of them is the
said beach; with fabulous, crystal clear waters
being a place of unrivaled natural beauty. To
reach here: You will head by car for about 15΄
from Chania to the airport and then you will
follow the difficult path on foot (about 10΄).
Μαράθι
Δε θεωρείται τυχαία η «παραλία των ερω-
τευμένων», χάρη στο ρομαντικό ηλιοβασί-
λεμα που την χρίζει ιδανική για ζευγαράκια.
Μόλις 15 λεπτά οδικώς από το κέντρο
των Χανίων, η παραλία είναι οργανωμένη
(με ταβέρνες και cafés), διαθέτει ψιλή σαν
πούδρα άμμο, δεν την πιάνει το κύμα και
άρα είναι τέλεια επιλογή για οικογένειες με
παιδιά. Πώς θα βρεθείς: Με το ΙΧ, ακολου-
θώντας το δρόµο προς το αεροδρόµιο,
στον κόµβο που θα συναντήσεις οι ταµπέ-
λες θα σε κατευθύνουν στο Μαράθι.
Η τοποθεσία της εξυπηρετεί και επι-
σκέπτες από το νομό Ρεθύμνου ενώ τα
τελευταία χρόνια έχει λάβει... διαστάσεις
τουριστικού θέρετρου. Με καταγάλανα
νερά και απαλή άμμο, διαθέτει άπειρες
επιλογές για φαγητό και ποτό. Πώς θα
βρεθείς: Με κατεύθυνση το νομό Ρεθύ-
μνου 38 χλµ. ΝΑ των Χανίων. Στην E.O.
Χανίων-Ρεθύµνου και µετά τις Βρύσες θα
στρίψεις αριστερά και θα την έχεις μπρο-
στά του έπειτα από περίπου µισή ώρα.
Georgioupolis
The location of this beach is ideal for visitors
from Rethymno as well, while, during the last
years it has become a true tourist resort. With
deep blue waters and soft sand, it features
numerous choices for food and drink. How to
reach there: You head to Rethymno district,
38 km. in the southeast of Chania. At the
National Road of Chania-Rethymno, after
Vrisses you turn left. You will reach the place
in about half an hour.
Ποταµός, Γαύδος
Άλλη μια ιδιαίτερης ομορφιάς παραλία,
με κοκκινωπή άµµο ενώ το ειδυλλιακό
της τοπίο συμπληρώνουν οι σκόρπιοι
κέδροι. Βρείτε τη στο χάρτη, στη ΒΔ
ακτή της Γαύδου, 7 χλµ. ΒΔ του λιµα-
νιού, στην Καραβέ. Πώς θα βρεθείς:
Πρέπει να ταξιδέψεις έως τη Γαύδο µε
τα δροµολόγια της ΑΝΕΝΔΥΚ (Τ. +30
28210 95511) από την Παλαιοχώρα ή τη
Χώρα Σφακίων. Προσεγγίζεται µε αµάξι
αλλά και µε καραβάκι.
Potamos, Gavdos
Another beach of special beauty, with a
reddish sand and scattered cedars make the
idyllic landscape complete. Find it on the map,
at the northwest coast of Gavdos, 7 km. in
the northwest of the port, in Karave. To reach
there, you have to travel to Gavdos with
the itineraries of ANENDYK (tel. +30 28210
95511) from Paleochora or Chora of Sfakia. It
can be approached by road and by boat.
Marathi
It is not by chance that this beach is considered as
the “lovers beach”, thanks to the romantic sunset
making it ideal for couples. Located 15 minutes
from the center of Chania by car, it is organised
(with restaurants and cafés) and fine sand. Waves
never raise here, therefore it is ideal for families
with children. To reach here: Following by car the
road to the airport, at the node you will meet the
signs will lead you to Marathi.
