town’s restaurant scene, and the most authentic Italian restaurant in Chania, with a “Godfather”
atmosphere -which is what its name means- and a space that invokes a yard from an Italian…
mafia house, with sophisticated aesthetic and amazing view, Il Padrino continues and develops
its successful course. This year we found it even more renewed, with a new menu, an ode to
Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Famous in Athens and Mykonos, the Napolitan chef Ciro
Cerbo, founder of the famous Italian restaurants Daluz and DaCiro in Kifissia, Nea Erythrea and
Mykonos, teams up with the awarded Il Pardino and will be presenting his creations throughout
the entire season, with tastes that travel us to the streets of Napoli and the picturesque villages
of Toscana… a taste trip all’ Italiana by the famous chef! The menu is ideally completed by a
wine list from Italian, Cretan and Greek vineyards. Beyond all these, Il Padrino stands out for its

• Fresh ravioli stuffed with spinach, ricotta and
shrimps, in truffle and sweet pumpkin sauce. • Fresh gnocchi with melted smoked cheese
and forest mushrooms, porcini and truffle.
• Beef osso buco, slowly boiled in casserole,
with red cabernet wine and fresh vegetables,
accompanied with pappardelle. • The bistecca alla Fiorentina beef steak (1,2
kgr), fat free, matured and roasted in cast iron,
with Cretan herbs and baked baby potatoes.
• Fresh ravioli stuffed with lobster and crab in
Sicilian fresh tomato, garlic and basil sauce. • And its famous, specifically outstanding
dish, “All’ aqua pazza” (in crazy water), fresh
local fish, baked in mussel and clam juice,
with cherry tomatoes, garlic and a few drops
of peperoncini.
• Cuttlefish with fresh fennel and dry onion,
sauteed with white Italian wine and tagliolini
from cuttlefish ink.
