ΑΙΓΥΠΤΙΑΚΟΣ ΦΑΡΟΣ
Ο Αιγυπτιακός Φάρος δεσπόζει περήφανα στο Παλιό Λιμάνι των Χανίων για περίπου μισό αιώνα και γι ’ αυτό συγκαταλέγεται ανάμεσα στους παλαιότερους στον κόσμο . Είναι δημιούργημα των Ενετών ( τέλη 16ου αι .), ενώ ανακατασκευάστηκε από τους Αιγυπτίους τη δεκαετία 1830-40 . Έχει ύψος 21 μ . και αποτελεί το ιδανικό σημείο για μοναδικά φωτογραφικά ε νσταντανέ . Έχει κυκλική κορυφή , 16 γωνίες στο κέντρο του και 8 γωνίες στη βάση του και λόγω του ιδιότυπου αρχιτεκτονικού του στυλ θυμίζει πολύ έντονα μιναρέ .
EGYPTIAN LIGHTHOUSE The Egyptian Lighthouse has proudly dominated the Old Harbor of Chania for about half a century and is one of the oldest in the world . It is a creation of the Venetians ( late 16th century ), while it was reconstructed by the Egyptians in the decade between 1830-40 . It is 21 m high and is the ideal spot for unique photographic enthusiasts . It has a circular top , 16 corners in the center and 8 corners at the base and due to its distinctive architectural style it is reminiscent of a minaret .
