No sooner had they been released in Arachova than
they caught the eye! The special backpacks and bags
with the little bear and the personal touch of their creator Miltos Papadopoulos have stood out for their colors,
breakthrough patterns and top quality leathers –from
the cert ified tannery his family runs in Athens–, and
they are already a trend! Aiming to breathe new life to
the village’s traditional workshops, he placed iron cages in an industrial venue, where he created his own
open workshop. But the difference here is that he’s not
an old fashioned craftsman that we come across, but
a young and really talented person. In Miltos’ hands
leather is just a raw material... Relying on his imagination, he crafts unique pieces in various patterns
and color combos! “Lifelong guarantee” being his slogan, he uses leather to make whatever you fancy: bags,
shoes, ornaments, place mats, aprons, snowboard
covers, as well as sandals (for the summertime) and
many more, all handmade! He also say yes to tailor
made orders... At his store, a stone’s throw from Lakka
Square (a few metres off Sehre), we also came across a
limited collection of clothes and accessories by Greek
designers, while his dream is to have his own! Tip: He
also makes alterations!
