The picturesque port of Parnassos, Antikyra village by the sea, with the eyes gazing towards the open horizon,
has introduced us into a new optic on how the sea can be ideally combined with the mountain!
ow would you like it if from the snowy landscapes of Arachova, you could eat
the freshest fish by the sea in only 20 minutes by car? On the feet of Parnassos
it is worth discovering the other side of the mountain…In the land of the
Muses, where the mountains meet the sea and the tradition unites with civilization, lies
Antikyra with a history lost in the centuries. ..The development course may have started
with the foundation of the aluminum factory in 1960, it is however a peaceful place with
the privilege of being by the sea… A picturesque sea village with the beacon on the port,
reminding images of Norwegian fiords!
When getting there we face a wind protected bay, with the huge mountain of Kefali across
“cutting” the horizon towards Korinthiakos bay, making the landscape even more atmospheric… A few houses, a beach road, an ideal place to wander round, walk, admire the

power of beauty and the serenity of the landscape… If we take a walk along the beach,
at the little port with the beacon and anchored tug boats and we will find out that at this
tiny place there are some businesses in operation that are very organized and modern,
that definitely raise up the standards and promise high standard services.
New businesses that brought a renewed air and definitely an urge to the tourist development of Antikyra, wide variety of wonderful tasty suggestions – from exceptional fish of
the day up to local recipes with fresh raw materials – tasteful cafés and accommodation
options –not many- but definitely well taken care of, comfortable and in very good prices.
The summer becomes even more attractive – we found out that it is also an anchorage for
sailing boats – but this doesn’t mean that we will forget the dreamy winter landscape we
enjoyed.
