Οι χατζιδακικοί στίχοι « Όσο κι αν ψάξω δε βρίσκω άλλο λιμάνι τρελή να με έχει κάνει όσο τον Πειραιά », τραγουδισμένοι από την αείμνηστη Μελίνα Μερκούρη , ίσως μπορούν μέσα σε 3 αράδες να περιγράψουν όλη την ατμόσφαιρα νοσταλγίας που εκπέμπει το μεγαλύτερο λιμάνι της χώρας . Και μπορεί η καθυστέρηση των έργων του μετρό ( το 2021 αναμένεται να παραδοθεί ) να δυσκολεύει ακόμα την πρόσβασή μας , ωστόσο , μετά από πολλά ups and downs οι σταθερές αξίες σε συνδυασμό με τα ολοκαίνουρια στέκια του επαναπροσδιορίζουν την αξία του στον αθηναϊκό χάρτη καθιστώντας τον σημαντική αφορμή για μια απόδρασή μας στη θάλασσα . Όχι , Πειραιάς δεν σημαίνει μόνο ταβερνάκια για ψάρι εκεί όπου σκάει το κύμα , σημαίνει και αξιοζήλευτα all day café-bars , cocktail και wine bars , αλλά και ψαγμένα εστιατόρια από το κέντρο του μέχρι το Μικρολίμανο και από τη μαρίνα Ζέας μέχρι την Τρούμπα . The great Greek composer and songwriter Manos Hadjidakis , wrote these lyrics : “ However I searched , I haven ’ t found another harbour , to make me crazy , as Piraeus ” which were sung by the late Melina Mercouri and describe in just three verses all the nostalgic atmosphere emitted from the largest port in the country . It is true that the delay in the Metro works ( it is expected to be given to the public in 2021 ) still hampers our access , however , after many ups and downs , the great places which have been there constantly in addition with the arrival of brand new joints , redefine Piraeus ’ prominent place on the Athenian entertainment map making it the perfect excuse for an escape towards the sea . Piraeus is not only about fish taverns on the seaside , where the waves break , it also means great all day café-bars , cocktail and wine bars , as well as hip restaurants from downtown Piraeus to Mikrolimano and from Marina Zea to Troumba .
