Εδώ και 4 χρόνια αποτελεί σημείο αναφοράς στο all day fun πεδίο της πόλης , μα ειδικά φέτος είναι η χρονιά του ! Ο δυνατός άνεμος ανανέωσης που φύσηξε κάτω από τη στέγη του νεοκλασικού του 1875 στον πεζόδρομο της Αγγέλου Μεταξά ( μια ανάσα από τη μαρίνα στο Πασαλιμάνι ) και το moto του « The Essence Bar Restaurant » μας προϊδεάζουν για πολλά , αλλά μόνο όταν ανοίξουμε την πόρτα του καταλαβαίνουμε ότι υπόσχεται να δώσει μια high end διάσταση στις στιγμές μας . To ρετρομαξιμαλιστικό design ( επιμελήθηκαν οι Άλεξ Πετράκης και Βίβιαν Δημητρακοπούλου με επικεφαλής τον interior designer Κοσμά Καραβά ) μας ταξιδεύει σε αλλοτινές εποχές από τα bistro του Παρισιού ως τα βερολινέζικα καμπαρέ του Μεσοπολέμου . Μαρμάρινες κολόνες , αντίκες , χρυσές πατιναρισμένες λεπτομέρειες , βαθυπράσινοι τοίχοι , τα κρυφά σεπαρέ του 2ου ορόφου περιστοιχισμένα με βαριές κορνίζες , που πλαισιώνουν σημαντικές προσωπικότητες , συνθέτουν ένα μυσταγωγικό σκηνικό το οποίο « μεγεθύνει » τις πολλά υποσχόμενες απολαύσεις του ... Αντιπροσωπευτικό παράδειγμα , εκτός από τα πλούσια πρωινά και τα special ροφήματα , το ανανεωμένο μενού μεσογειακής-ελληνικής δημιουργικής κουζίνας του executive chef Χρήστου Τζιέρα . Τα βράδια επιστρέφουμε εδώ για να προλάβουμε μια θέση γύρω από τα 2 εμβληματικά bars με την τεράστια ποικιλία από premium ποτά , κρασιά και cocktails , ριλαξάροντας με ατμοσφαιρικές μουσικές . Καθημερινά 09:00-03:00 ( κουζίνα 12:00-00:30 ).

Reference point of the all-day fun section of the town for the past 4 years . Especially this year , when the refreshing breeze of renovation has blown under the roof of its neoclassical building dating back to 1875 in the walkway of Aggelou Metaxa Street ( in walking distance from the Piraeus Marina ). Its motto “ The Essence Bar Restaurant ” reveals a lot but only upon entering in its premises we realize the high end dimension it promises to give our moments . The retro-maximalist design ( by Alex Petrakis and Vivian Dimitrakopoulou under the directions of interior designer Kosmas Karavas ) takes us on a journey through the Parisian bistro and the Berlin cabarets of the interwar period . Marble columns , antiques , golden details , dark green walls , hidden separated sections on the 2nd floor surrounded by heavy frames depicting important personalities , compose a mystique setting which further upgrades its promising delicacies ... A characteristic example , apart from the breakfasts and the special beverages , is its updated menu of creative Mediterranean-Greek cuisine by chef Christos Tzieras . In the evenings , we return here to rush for a seat around the 2 emblematic bars with their large collection of premium drinks , wines and cocktails , relaxing under the sounds of atmospheric music .
