KLOUVI BAR A point of reference for the area, this urban bar has maintained its bohemian character for a decade. This year welcomes us with a renovated colonial atmosphere and exotic details in its decoration and bar. The cage bars at its large glass windows might have been the inspiration for the name of the bar which means“ the cage”, nonetheless, we are welcomed into a bright space from early in the morning for good coffee, fresh juices and homemade beverages, while in the evening its loyal patrons enjoy homemade signature cocktails from an updated list, curated by Dimitrios Dimitriou, under the sounds of jazz, funky, soul music. It has tables outside, benches and passo. Daily from 12:00-as late as it gets.

Και μπορεί οι σιδεριές στις μεγάλες τζαμαρίες να ήταν η έμπνευση για το … Kλουβί, όμως, ο φωτεινός του χώρος μάς καλεί από το πρωί για καλό καφέ, φρέσκους χυμούς και σπιτικά αναψυκτικά, ενώ το βράδυ οι πιστοί θαμώνες απολαμβάνουν υπό τους ήχους jazz, funky, soul μουσικής σπιτικά signature cocktails από μια άκρως ενημερωμένη λίστα, που έχει επιμεληθεί ο Δημήτρης Δημητρίου. Μπορεί να μετρά μόλις 4 χρόνια στην ήσυχη συνοικία των Πετραλώνων, όμως, οι απανταχού λάτρεις της ταϊλανδέζικης κουζίνας το έχουν ανακαλύψει ήδη. Σε αντίθεση με τα τυπικά folklore εστιατόρια του είδους, το Blue Βamboo κινείται σε minimal urban ύφος με γκρι χρωματισμούς και μεγάλες τζαμαρίες με θέα έξω στην μποέμικη γειτονιά … Έχει τραπεζάκια έξω, πάγκους και πάσα. Όπου κι αν καθίσετε, κρυφοκοιτάξτε μέσα από την open cuisine την έμπειρη Ταϊλανδή chef την ώρα που ετοιμάζει αυθεντικές συνταγές. Ξεκινήστε με μια tom kha gai, πικάντικη σούπα με κοτόπουλο και γάλα καρύδας και μια δροσερή σαλάτα με μάνγκο και συνεχίστε με coconut pineapple fried rice – τηγανητό ρύζι με γαρίδες και κάρι – και chicken satay με σάλτσα φιστικιού. Όσο για το αυθεντικό pad thai( noodles ρυζιού με γαρίδες) δεν θεωρείται τυχαία best seller. Although only counting 4 years of presence in the quiet neighborhood of Petralona, the fans of Thai cuisine have already discovered it. In contradiction to the typical folklore restaurants of the kind, the Blue Bamboo moves in minimal urban style with grey tones and large windows overlooking the bohemian neighborhood. It has tables outside, benches and passo. No matter where you choose to seat, you will be able to peek into the open cuisine and watch the experienced Thai chef preparing the authentic recipes. We recommend you start with a tom kha gai, a spicy soup with chicken and coconut milk and a cold salad with mango and continue with a coconut pineapple fried rice – fried rice with shrimps and carry – and chicken satay with peanut sauce. As for the authentic pad thai( rice noodles with shrimps), it is a best seller for a reason. Accompany them with Asian beers, wine from a small wine list and hip signature cocktails, most popular being the Asian version of a Bloody Mary! No reservations excepted. Non smoking policy.
