Dr. Clay Cockerell is a board certified dermatopathologist who specializes in diagnosing disorders of the skin. Dermatopathology is a combination of pathology, identifying disorders microscopically, and dermatology, the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders. Dr. Cockerell oversees an educational program that trains Dermatopathologists. His works are published over 500 times in respected publications, such as the Archives of Dermatology and the American Journal of Dermatopathology. He was the President of the American Academy of Dermatology in 2004, Socioeconomic Committee Chairman of the Dallas Dermatologic Society in 1997, Vice President of the International Society of Dermatopathology from 1990-1994, President of the Dallas Dermatologic Society in 1993, and President of the Physicians for AIDS Care in 1993. Dr. Cockerell is associated with the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society of Contact Dermatitis, American Society of Dermatopathology and the Dallas Dermatological Society.

Since 1984, Dr. Richard Honaker, board certified in family practice, has operated in private practice. His special interests are cholesterol disorders, diabetes, hypertension, and preventive medicine. Currently he is a Senior Physician at Family Medicine Associates of Texas, a private practice in Carrollton, Texas and a co-founder of the Jefferson Physician Group. Dr. Honaker is published in various medium, including his experience as a medical columnist for a local newspaper and a national sports magazine. He has been repeatedly named a“ Best Doctor,”“ Top Doc,” and“ Super Doc” by various publications. From talks for other physicians to a national television appearance discussing heart and cholesterol disorders, he is a talented educator to many. For this reason, we feature Dr. Honaker in our weekly“ Medical Minute” segments to help our audience with signs, symptoms, and advice to live a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Varughese attended the Medical College of Georgia, in Augusta, Georgia and subsequently completed her residency in Internal Medicine as well as Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Varughese pursued further training in Interventional Cardiology at The Texas Heart Institute / Baylor College of Medicine and now has been in private practice in Northwest Houston and The Woodlands for the past 20 years. She is an avid speaker regarding issues in cardiology and holds the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Dr. Varughese has passionately devoted 20 years of her life to the prevention of heart attack and stroke. Dr. Varughese has co-authored two books on the prevention of cardiovascular disease and she created her own brand of supplements known as Cardiovits. Part of her Dolce Vita Cardio line of wellness products to support cardiovascular health. She also teaches her patients and colleagues about weight loss therapy and a natural fat removal and blood sugar stabilizer called BiosLife Slim.
