Dr. Reed is board certified in three specialties: internal medicine, anesthesiology and pain management and is a recognized teaching specialist who
trains other physicians in specialized techniques of implantable neurostimulation. Dr. Reed began applying neurostimulation for intractable migraines in
1992 and in 2006 he pioneered the Reed ProcedureSM for migraines and other
innovative neurostimulation techniques for treating various types of severe,
intractable headaches – techniques which are now used around the world.
Dr. Reed founded Reed Migraine Centers in 2011, and continues ongoing research, as well as, publishing and presenting papers on pain management with the use of implantable neurostimulation devices for the control of

Headache Society for pioneering innovation in migraine treatment.
