It all started at J.J. Pearce High School when she graduated as valedictorian and went on to Stanford University as a Presidential Scholar. Next, she attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and graduated first in her class. There she received the Ho Din Award, an honor given to graduating senior who embodies the “spirit of medical wisdom and human understanding.” Dr. Malladi then returned to the west coast specializing in surgery at UCLA, and she conducted a two year research fellowship at Stanford.
