A Third campus of the
BEST Centre
For some years, a successful
education program has been
running in Shepparton. The Leaps
and Bounds program works with
local schools to provide a program
for secondary students who are
disengaged from education. During
2010, Berry Street hired a
consultant to investigate and
report on the feasibility of opening
a third campus of the school in
Shepparton. The final report
recommended that:

“Given the significant number
of young people who are
disengaged from mainstream
education, there is a strong
case for more alternative
setting educational programs
at the high need end of the
spectrum and hence we
conclude that Berry Street
should create a registered
BEST school for secondary
school aged students in
Shepparton”.
In 2011, Berry Street will be
working toward the registration
and setting up of the third
campus of the BEST Centre, with
the campus opening in 2012.
