Six months after Black Saturday, we recognised that
people needed a break from the all consuming job of
rebuilding their lives. Funds were raised to provide a
Ladies’ Day at the local picnic races – a day that will
long be remembered.

Firewood working bees provided much needed wood
for people struggling through their first winter. But
it was also a time to connect and feel that they could
help others.
