The style of clothing she brings in are silhouette driven, meaning she only wants to bring in styles that accentuate a curvy woman’s body. She says, "I leave the fashion basics for other stores on island. My goal is to bring in specialty items for those occasions when you want to be a show stopper. The Brand is Chic and Sexy, I like to follow trends that I feel work on a fuller body. If we bring in classics like a LBD (little black dress) I like to look for styles with a bit of drama that can take the clothing to the next level".

To find her inspiration she looks to street style and fashion blogs as well as the entertainment industry: celebrities, music videos and television. The internet and social media have completely changed the fashion industry, and now with apps and sites such as Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, Facebook and Tumblr, most of the latest trends are captured and controlled by independent bloggers/vloggers.

A word of advice from Serena for anyone wanting to pursue careers in the fashion world: "Do your research and try to identify what exactly drives you toward a career in fashion. Carve out a niche market for yourself and have a strong identity that will differentiate yourself from the pack. Most of all, follow your heart, do not allow your environment to dictate or control your dreams. If your desire for success you must be strong enough to endure it. The universe will make room for your chosen pathway".
