I’ M THRILLED TO HAVE Martha Stewart, America’ s ultimate homemaker, on this cover. I can’ t think of a more fitting individual to herald our home and garden issue. I don’ t have to tell you that she has redefined home entertaining, cooking, and is the most widely regarded lifestyle icon across age groups. Equally thrilling is why she is on the cover, thanks to interior design guru Bunny Williams and Trade Secrets Garden Tours and Rare Plants & Garden Antiques Sale. As Martha mentions in the article that begins on page 18, Trade Secrets is one of only a handful of events she has on her calendar every year. Not only is it a great event, the money raised goes to the local domestic violence agency Project SAGE.
As a bonus, we also highlight Martha’ s long-awaited opening of The Bedford by Martha Stewart restaurant at Foxwoods in mid-March, and we have a companion article on Bunny, who was gracious enough to let us into her spectacular home.
