formal French Flower Garden, and Rock Garden.“ The landscape of The Mount is an important and inspiring collaborator for this show, as each installation is thoughtfully connected to the shape and contours of these remarkable grounds,” says Montross, adding that some sculptures are placed in prominent places, while others are embedded in the landscape for the viewer to discover.
The show includes Kathy Ruttenberg ' s In Sync, which appears as though it’ s emerging from the woods; Helen Duncan ' s Disperse,“ sprouting” out of a brook; and Pedro de Movellán ' s kinetic Meadowlark, in a field where Mass Audubon ' s birding group often witnesses birds on early-morning walks at The Mount.
