WINNER: Max Vadakin
Congratulations to Max Vadakin, whose four concert images here were collectively selected for their composition, emotion, and movement. To the judges, these images expressed what " Music in the Berkshires," the theme for this year ' s photo contest, is all about. Max lives in Canaan, Connecticut, and works at The Pass in Sheffield as creative manager. He also freelances for Berkshire Opera Festival( BOC), where he first began photographing live performances.“ I rarely shoot black and white photos outside of live performences," he says, " but there ' s something about the harsh contrast that stage lights create that lends itself well to black and white."
