Leif Ove Andsnes, a few young string players and fellow pianist Håvard Gimse invite you to join them in a Hungarian encounter with beautiful contrasts. 'György Kurtág is one of my favourite composers from our own time. In his short pieces he manages to create unique moods, spanning the entire gamut from playfulness to sadness. In our encounter with this concentrated universe we play music by another Hungarian, Franz Liszt. Not the virtuoso Liszt we know so well however, but the religious mystic – beautiful music that creates vast spaces,' says Leif Ove Andsnes.
